Installation
1. Ensure temporary downpipe is appropriately connected to the roof gutting and the site's permanent stormwater drainage system (if any).
2. If a permanent underground drainage system does not exist, then ensure the temporary pipe discharges away from the work area in a manner that will not cause soil erosion or inconvenience to neighbouring properties.

Removal
1. Remove a temporary downpipe only when the permanent downpipe is ready to be installed.
